Nicole Antras BA (Hons)/ MA FINE ART PTLLS CTLLS
A multidisciplinary Fine Artist working in drawing, painting and printmaking mediums, and occasionally 3D, from my studio in Faversham, Kent. I most often work with charcoal, pastels, graphite and an eraser for drawings, and oils or water-based paints in painted pieces. I currently focus on dry point engravings and Lino cut techniques in my printmaking practice.
I was the Featured Artist for Interim Arts Art Gallery in 2021, shortlisted for The Sequested Prize self-portrait competition in 2022, and featured in Collect Art magazine, Women Art/Special Edition March 2022, Issue 03. My work has been in exhibitions locally & nationally and I have pieces in private collections in the UK, Europe and the US
My influences include psychology, mythology, history, nature, the human form and spirituality, with recent works exploring psychological themes such as the Sense of Self and Identity, and the experiences, memories, and relationships that shape who we are.
However, I don't see my practice as being defined by a single subject; each body of work grows from a different question, curiosity, or experience, and I like to allow my ideas to develop intuitively and organically.
I see my art work as a way of exploring the world, my place within it and discovering a greater understanding of myself and others. Ultimately, my work is driven by a curiosity about the relationships that connect us—to ourselves, to one another, to nature, and to the unseen, deeper forces that shape our experience.

Following my BA studies alongside my own art practice, I worked in educational, social care and workplace settings running art sessions, teaching and supporting people with disabilities to develop their creativity. Currently, in addition to my continuing art practice I support young adults in mainstream education with their creative studies, as well as running my own workshops for adults who want to develop their skills.
