Citron de l'Ariege:
Lemon #4 (2025)
oil on canvas
£200
+ shipping
33.5 x 33.5 x 3.5 cm
(framed)
This painting of a lemon was inspired by my cousin’s group of lemon trees that I sketched and photographed whilst I was visiting my family in Southern France on a summer holiday. The almost glowing yellow surface of the central single lemon catches the light like summer distilled into a physical fruit. Alive with warmth from the yellow, and a sense of freshness from the green, it exudes a feeling of standing beneath lemon trees in the southern sun. It is more than a botanical study; it is a memory of the warm summer sun and family connections preserved in the colour and form of the fruit

Lemon on Linen (2025)
oil on linen
Private Collection
25 x 30 x 1 cm
This image of a lemon painted in oils on linen describes the fruit as if it has been gently lifted out of the world and placed in a moment of stillness, as if time has been paused and in the sensory memory of that moment the lemon becomes a symbol of warmth, sunlight and the beauty of picking it from the tree to hold in the hand. It is like a small meditation on summer, simplicity, and presence—a bright, living lemon suspended in a calm field of linen, bringing the warmth and stillness of a sunlit afternoon.

Lemon #1 (2025)
watercolour & graphite on paper
£60
+ shipping
11 x 11 cm (image size)
20 x 20 x 1.5 cm (framed)
This watercolour painting presents a lemon in a way that feels both delicate and quietly reflective, as if the image is holding onto a gentle moment rather than trying to declare itself boldly. It has a sense of warmth, nostalgia and quiet appreciation whilst keeping the feeling of sunlight, stillness and memory. The monochrome background allows the lemon to remain the focal point while still providing a sense of structure and balance to the composition.

Lily (Yellow) 2021
ink drawing & watercolour on board
£400
42 x 49 x 4 cm (framed)
Lilies traditionally carry symbolic associations with purity, mourning, and transience, which resonate through the work’s subdued palette and weathered textures. The flower does not appear freshly blooming; instead, it feels like a remnant or trace—something remembered, recorded, or fading. Conceptually, this piece can be read as a meditation on ephemerality and memory.

Apple #14 (2020/21)

This is one of a series of 70 drawings made over Lockdown. I drew the same apple, one drawing a day, recording it's gradual process of desication over time.

Oil Lamp (2023)
charcoal & pastel on paper
£60
27 x 27 x 1.8 cm (framed)
This drawing is of a garden oil lamp given to me by a family member as a birthday present. She is sadly no longer with us, having passed away at 47 years old, and I still have the lamp in memory of her, even though it has sustained some damage over the years.
